Notre Dame Lower School
In lower school classes, students concentrate on individual achievement through a combination of academics and functional living skills. In addition to the standard curriculum, students receive integrated speech/music/occupational therapy. The motor skills room is utilized for our youngest students (ages 6 - 11). All students receive speech and language services in small groups.

Primary
There are two, self-contained Primary classes, divided by age and ability. The younger class emphasizes readiness activities, gross and fine motor skills, beginning academic skills and self-help skills. The older class is more academically oriented, preparing the students for Intermediate classes.
Intermediate
In lower school classes, students concentrate on individual achievement through a combination of academics and functional living skills. In addition to the standard curriculum, students receive integrated speech therapy.
When students move into the Intermediate program (ages 11 - 15), they are grouped according to functional ability and change classes for their different subjects. Daily academic subjects include: reading, language arts, math, science, and social studies. Music, speech, library, Physical Education (PE), daily living skills and religion are also in a week's studies.
