Principal's Letter
September 7, 2005 Dear Parents, Thank you for your tremendous support for the hurricane victims. We have received over $900 in donations as well as food and clothing. Mr. Darst will be delivering these items this week. Notre Dame may be taking in a student from a special school formerly run by the School Sisters of Notre Dame in New Orleans. Please continue to pray for the refugees as they struggle to rebuild their lives. Just a reminder: all teachers can be reached by e-mail (addresses are the first initial; last name @notredameschool.org e.g. (tfrancis@notredameschool.org). Please mark your calendars for Parent Teacher Conferences to be held on Saturday October 1st. There will be a limited amount of slots available during the week for conferences. Remember that each parent much attend one conference per year (the 2nd one can be a phone conference). If your student is in the Bridges or Vocational program they need to attend the conference with you. Sign up sheets will go home next Wednesday. A big “THANK YOU” to Dottie Mormon and Jane Martin for treating the staff to a BBQ dinner on the Friday before Labor Day, it was really delicious. The directory will go to the printer this week and will be sent home next Wednesday. Please consider joining the Parent Club (form enclosed). Last year, the Parent’s Club held several luncheons for the teachers and provided classroom money for various projects. They also provided chair massages for the teachers during Catholic School’s Week and paid for flu shots to keep our teachers healthy. Hopefully cooler weather is around the corner!
