Lower
school includes Primary and Intermediate classes. Students
concentrate on individual achievement through a combination of
academics and functional living skills. In
addition to the standard curriculum, students receive
integrated speech/music/occupational therapy. The motor skills
room is utilized for our youngest students (ages 6 - 11.) All
students receive speech and language services by TWU graduate
students under the supervision of a licensed therapist.

- There are
two, self-contained Primary classes, divided
by age and ability. The younger class
emphasizes readiness activities, gross and
fine motor skills, beginning academic skills
and self-help skills. The older class is
more academically oriented, preparing the
students for Intermediate classes.
- When students move into the Intermediate program (ages 11 - 15), they are grouped according to functional ability and change classes for their different subjects. Daily academic subjects include: reading, language arts, math, science, and social studies. Music, speech, library, PE, daily living skills and religion are also in a week's studies.
